New Paintings in progress
I'm having a nice summer enjoying how green and lush our little subtropical corner of the universe becomes this time of year. The uniqueness of this part of SC's climate allows for some unexpected plants like my orange tree which is loaded with oranges and my bananas. My banana tree is the subject of my new painting, just begun yesterday. I'm pretty excited about this one. The inspiration has been our climate which lately has made me think of the tropics with daily thunderstorms cooling off almost unbearable mid day heat. The other inspiration is the huge Andrew Wyeth book most generously bestowed on my by my good friends from Chesapeake Bay who I was thrilled to visit this summer.
